Claire Manent
Claire Manent (b. 1980, City?) is a French artist based in Athens, Greece. A graduate of the Fine Arts School in Montpellier with additional qualifications in scenography, her work is deeply rooted in physical spaces, aiming to transform and reimagine them. Whether by projecting fictitious dimensions into her own living settings or using the walls of urban environments as playgrounds for creative expression, Manent's art consistently seeks to bring intimacy to the surface - merging imagined landscapes with tangible reality.
Upon moving to Athens in 2017, Manent responded to the city's graffiti-laden walls with a series of minimalist street paintings. Brutalist yet serene, her works strip away the cityscape’s narrative, replacing it with stark horizons of profound silence amid urban visual chaos.

In 2020, Manent began experimenting with small-scale works, creating mini-murals on marble fragments collected from the streets of Exarcheia. Transitioning from expansive urban spaces to intimate compositions, she produced her first studio-based pieces, allowing her art to be exhibited beyond its original environment.
